The Nexon Initiative

Dream it. pitch it. launch it.

About The Nexon iNitiative Sponsorship

Nexon wants to sponsor talented development studios with great online game ideas and projects. We are eager to work with you to turn your ideas into published games!

We are interested in finding original, unique and promising projects at an early stage of development in order to sponsor (and in cases co-develop) and later on publish through our global network. If your project becomes sponsored, Nexon will provide you a one-stop chance for your online game project to get actual support in terms of funding/development and global publishing all at the same time!

Sponsorship

If selected, sponsorships (up to $1,000,000*) will be provided in addition to a chance to enter a publishing contract with Nexon.
$1,000,000
* Sponsorships in U.S. dollars; sponsorships will be divided among different submissions accordingly.

Finalists will be contacted separately via email by June 2010.

Please note that although we intend to sponsor multiple promising projects, the final number and the amount of each sponsorship may differ according to status of submission.

What Kind of Games Are We Looking For?

Nexon truly believes in endorsing online PC games that are widely accessible, have broad, universal appeal and encourage community interaction. As such, we are primarily looking for online PC games or games on the PC platform that have heavy social components to them, in particular those with the potential to grow with subsequent content updates. In other words, we will not likely be interested in single player only experiences or any games without an online component – but if you have a compelling idea, we invite you to convince us.

Content guidelines: There are no restrictions on game genres. In terms of platforms, we request the following:

  • PC: 1) Client-Server, 2) web-browser based games
  • Cross-platform: Game designs with cross-platform components with most part of the game being on the PC (i.e.: PC + XBox Live, or PC + iPhone)
  • If your project is a game that has already been developed (or is being developed) on a platform other than the PC, a port/additional development to an online PC version is welcome as a game submission.

If you think you have a game project in the works or a design that is compelling, we want to hear from you!
